Tarmez Al-Arabiya Information Technology Company respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains how the Arabic RTL Helper for Odoo browser extension handles information while it is used in your browser.

About the extension

Arabic RTL Helper for Odoo improves the display and typing of Arabic content inside Odoo, especially when the Odoo interface is set to English. It applies right-to-left formatting to supported user-content areas such as:

  • Odoo Chatter messages.
  • Internal notes and activity logs.
  • Message composer fields.
  • HTML fields and rich-text editors.
  • Paragraphs, lists, quotations, and other supported text blocks.

The extension keeps English-only content, source code, navigation, toolbars, and the surrounding Odoo interface left-to-right.

2. Site access and user choice

The extension does not receive access to every website when it is installed. It operates only on an Odoo site after the user explicitly enables that site's exact origin and approves the browser permission request. Access can be revoked at any time from the extension settings or the browser's extension settings.

After updating from version 0.1.0, the user must approve each Odoo site once under the new per-site access model.

3. Page content processed locally

To determine the correct text direction, the extension reads visible text only within supported Odoo content areas on approved sites. This may include messages, notes, editor content, and text being entered into supported fields.

Processing takes place temporarily in the browser's memory. Page content is not uploaded, collected, logged, retained, sold, shared, or transmitted by the extension.

4. Data not collected

The extension does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Odoo login credentials, usernames, or passwords.
  • Customer, vendor, employee, or contact information.
  • Chatter messages, internal notes, activities, or log content.
  • HTML-field, rich-text, or composer content.
  • Invoice, quotation, sales-order, accounting, HR, or operational data.
  • Browsing history, clicks, keystrokes, or usage analytics.
  • Personal, financial, health, authentication, or location information.

5. Local preferences

The extension uses local browser storage only for its interface preferences:

  • Interface language: automatic, Arabic, or English.
  • Appearance: light, dark, or the supported automatic setting.

These preferences remain on the user's device. They do not contain Odoo page content and are not synchronized or sent to Tarmez Al-Arabiya. The list of approved sites is maintained by the browser's permission system rather than duplicated in extension storage.

6. Browser permissions

The extension uses the following permissions solely for its stated purpose:

  • storage: saves the extension's language and appearance preferences locally.
  • scripting: loads the packaged Arabic direction formatter only on an Odoo site the user has approved and removes it when access is revoked.
  • tabs: identifies the current site's exact origin for the popup and clears RTL formatting from matching open tabs when access is revoked. It is not used to read browsing history.
  • Optional site access (http://*/* and https://*/*): allows the user to approve one current Odoo origin at a time, including Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, private hosting, development, and local installations. No site is approved by default.

These permissions are not used to extract, copy, retain, or transmit Odoo data.

7. Internet communication and external services

The extension does not need an external server to analyze or format text. It does not use analytics, advertising, telemetry, external processing APIs, or remotely hosted executable code. All executable code required for its core function is included in the extension package.

Support, website, privacy-policy, partner, and social-media links open only after a user chooses them. Visiting such a link is a user-initiated navigation and is then governed by that destination's own privacy policy.

8. Data sharing and sale

The extension does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with advertising companies, analytics providers, tracking services, external servers, or any other third party. It does not use data for purposes unrelated to its single purpose or to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.

9. Retention and deletion

Odoo page content is not retained. Local language and appearance preferences remain until the user clears the extension's local data or removes the extension. Approved-site access remains in the browser's permission system until the user revokes it or removes the extension.

10. Security and sensitive Odoo data

Odoo systems may contain sensitive business information, including customer, sales, accounting, HR, and operational records. The extension is deliberately limited to local text-direction processing and is designed not to copy, save, or send that content. Because page content is neither stored externally nor transmitted by the extension, there is no extension-operated database containing Odoo content.

11. Children's privacy

The extension is intended for professional and business use and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children or from any other user.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to improve clarity or reflect changes to the extension, browser requirements, or applicable policies. The "Last updated" date will identify the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this published page before or when the related extension update is submitted.
